How We Verify Pricing and Clinic Data

For procedures covered by Korean national health insurance, the local-clinic and hospital prices shown come directly from Korea's official fee schedule — the same rate schedule that governs what a clinic is legally allowed to charge, published by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA). For non-covered (elective) items, prices come from HIRA's public non-covered pricing disclosure system — a legal requirement under Korean medical law for every clinic to publish its own prices. Both are pulled directly from these official sources on a regular schedule, not estimated.

Where a specific procedure on this site isn't yet backed by one of these sources, it's explicitly marked as an estimate rather than presented as confirmed.

Review volume is easy to game and doesn't tell you whether a clinic actually has the equipment or specialty coverage a specific checkup needs. Instead, the clinic network on this site is built from two things: association membership (professional medical associations that a clinic has to actually qualify to join) and, where available, equipment and specialty data that a clinic has itself reported to a government body for official record — not review scores.

Clinics without this kind of confirmed data aren't ranked lower — they're simply not shown in the verified network yet. We're expanding coverage continuously, not filling gaps with unverified claims.
