1. What this site is
ClearCost Korea ("the Site") is a free information service that helps U.S. visitors compare the cost of local-clinic versus general-hospital care in South Korea, using figures sourced from official Korean government data. The Site operates as an information resource only — it does not book appointments, does not arrange or broker patient visits to any clinic, and does not charge clinics or users for referrals.
2. No medical advice
Nothing on the Site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to undergo any specific procedure. The Site is not a healthcare provider and does not have a doctor-patient relationship with any user. Always consult a qualified physician about your own medical situation, and confirm any procedure, price, or clinic detail directly with the clinic before you rely on it.
3. No booking relationship, direct payment
The Site does not process bookings, appointments, or payments. If you decide to contact a clinic listed on the Site, that relationship — including scheduling, pricing, payment, and any cancellation or refund terms — is entirely between you and the clinic. The Site is not a party to that transaction and accepts no responsibility for the quality of care, the accuracy of a clinic's own quoted price, or any dispute arising from your visit.
4. Accuracy of information
Cost figures are drawn from South Korea's official Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA) fee schedule and non-covered-procedure pricing disclosures, refreshed on a regular schedule. Figures marked as verified are backed by one of these official sources; figures not yet backed by a source are explicitly marked as estimates. Prices, clinic capabilities, and association membership can change after our last data refresh — we make no guarantee that a figure is current at the moment you read it, and you should confirm anything time-sensitive with the clinic directly.
5. Intellectual property
The Site's design, original written content (including the Guides section), and compiled datasets are owned by AnthroMeta. Factual data such as fee-schedule figures and hospital association membership is sourced from public government and association records and is presented for informational reference only.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnthroMeta is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on any information it contains, including decisions made about medical travel, procedures, or clinics.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
